Yeah, who the heck is Eli?  Yep, that's me, a registered nurse during the daytime hours M-F and a torching maniac every other minute that I have a chance!  My name is Sharon Kopko and my creative passion is melting glass in a really hot torch.  Where does Eli come from, well it's my husband's nickname for me as my middle name is Elizabeth, so he shortened it to Eli.  I have been lampworking for four years now and it has become my addiction, I just love it!  Hopefully, you will love what I create as well.

 

I have three wonderful children Jaimi, Alex and Emma and my darling husband, John.  Maci is our 6 year old Brussels Griffon doggie and she is the most spoiled of all of us, we call her the princess.

 

The pictures below are of my cave as men call it, or my room that I go to that is all mine!  This is where my magical creations are born.  My wonderful studio in our basement was built for me by my very talented husband, many thanks to John.  It is fully equipped with an exhaust system, my minor bench burner torch, my kiln, a huge ceramic top workbench and lots and lots of glass.  I work mainly with soft glass made in Italy, Germany and America, but I also dabble a bit with borosillicate and veiled cane.

 

The SRA logo on my home page means that I am a registered Self Representing Artist and that all of my creations are handmade by me, no mass reproduction in this studio.

 

 Enough about me, off to my cave.
